Hey all

Sorry it is so late in the week. The library was closed for Christmas on Monday and than the library was also closed on Tuesday because of lack of workers so we had to postpone our email til today.

We don't have a lot of time so I wont spend too long. Thanks for talking on Sunday! it was good to hear from everybody glad it was a good Christmas. Hope things continued to go well after we hung up Sunday afternoon. Church went great for us. The Confirmations took up a lot of the time so the 4 speakers all took about 5 min and that was all we had time for. We got home and had Lunch with the Nakayama family. We live in their basement so they had us up for lunch. After lunch I took a couple hour nap while Elder Davis and Pincock called home. Apuna's fed us Chicken Katsu for dinner and we had a good time singing Christmas Carols with them. They are way better at singing than we are so we told them we would sing if they sang for us 1st. We gave them the ole "Hana Hou", but they said they would only sing again after we sang. Not going to say we were like the tab, in fact we probably weren't even as good as the primary, but we got through a verse of Joy To the World. It was a good time. The Apuna's treat us well. They have a son in South Africa so they love to help us out as missionaries.

This week has been pretty good so far. Ill fill you in more on Monday, but so far we have picked up 2 new with baptismal dates to put us up to 3 for January. President Dalton called Monday to make sure the report was correct that we as a district on had 1 with a date. He said it was the lowest since this island really took off in October. It for sure motivates us to have a good week. So far for our island we have 5 set up and Lanai has 2 so we are back on track. Today we have a couple more appointments where we are going to commit people for baptism! Should be exciting. Glad to hear everyone got some exciting things for Christmas.

Jake, you can tell your friend Shawn that there is a great Ice Cream place here called Kamois. It is pretty good ice cream and pretty cheap for Hawaii.

Mom, I realize I never mentioned where Elder Toone is in the mission photo. Anyway, if you haven't found him by now he is in the Maui Zone bottom left corner I believe.

Hope you guys all have a great New Years wherever you may end up! Hope El Paso is a good time and the Utes take care of business. Thanks for all the gifts I love them all! Just a heads up I would like  XXL T-shirts for future reference. XL still fits, but I would like a little bigger for the future. Thanks for everything and I'll talk to you again Monday! Aloha!  I Love You!
                             Love, Elder Tripp!
