Another week has come and gone

Well family another week has come and gone. It is crazy it is already time to email again. Elder Robbins and I are doing great and we are seeing lots of miracles and potential for this ward to explode. The Gomes baptism went great. We also had a great time doing some service for Brother Wade, who we live with. Should be fun moving home from El Paso, Natalie and Mom. Sounds like the spring game was fun. What happened to the dude that played QB last year? I heard Hansen had a good year for Lone Peak last year, maybe he can grow. Today we don't have anything too crazy planned. We will probably end up walking on the rocks of Mo'omomi beach on the north west tip of the island. Hope all goes well where ever you guys may be. Pictures today are from the baptism and a couple scenic shots from Halawa valley and the east side.

So I am trying to remember what went on this week. We didn't have typical district meeting on Tuesday because of transfers. I know we had a lesson with Debra who recently got baptized and gave her 5 restoration pamphlets with our number on it to give to her friends and have them call us so we will have to see how that goes. We ate dinner at Apuna's that night and had Katsu. They had planned to make that in case I was leaving, and they know it is a favorite of mine, but it turns out I just got to have Katsu and still get to stay. :)

Wednesday we got around to visiting some of our progressing investigators. We are seeing them make changes in their lives which is really exciting. Even though we don't have any specific dates set right now, I know we are close to finding some so that is always exciting. We stopped in at the Albino's house and caught a glimpse of The Rescuers Down Under. Kinda made me miss movies just a bit. After Elder Robbins and I started making a list of movies we are going to watch with Elder Copier when I get home, since they both go home at the end of March. So far we have all the Rocky Movies and some classic Disney like Robbin Hood and Lion King. anyway we had a good lesson with them as well about the Holy Ghost. Wednesday night we had a double dinner, good, although I always over eat which isn't always the best when I have to fit into pants

Thursday was just an average day on the mission. Lots of tracting and visiting less actives. We spent some time getting the baptism program done and making sure the Gomes knew what was going on and all that so that took some time, but it was worth it.

Friday we had our weekly district meeting. This week the zone leaders taught the training about ward trust and the value of members it went well. After we had lunch we helped Brother Wade tear out all the dry wall and tile in his bathroom that he is planning on redoing while his wife is away. Kinda a Mothers day surprise I guess. It was a good experience  Good for after the mission in case I need to do something like that.

Saturday was the baptism. Seems like Satan always tries to make something go wrong. This time the drain didn't get put in all the way so the font was draining slowly. Luckily we came back to the Chruch to set up at 12 so we just filled it up until the baptism started and it stay full enough. The baptism went great. The spirit was strong as always. I am just so excited for those kids from the picture the back row left to right is Noah who is 9, Maile who is 10 and Dj who is 11 and the front is Dalen who is 6 and Destin who is 8. They love Primary which is awesome. They were disappointed there was no primary since it was Stake Conference. Saturday night we had a ward kickball potluck which was lots of fun. There isn't quite anything like a Ho'olehua ward potluck. Choke food!

Yesterday was Stake conference. So we got it broadcast to us. Elder Golden of the seventy and Elder Auna the new area seventy from the big island came to reorganize the stake presidency. Didn't really mean much to me since most of the stake leaders are from Maui and I have no idea who they are. The tongan ward on Maui provided the choir which was pretty cool. Last night we went to Sis Apuna's parent the Ka'awa's. They always make sure we have what we need.

I don't know what else to report. I hope all is well. Mothers day is coming up in a few weeks. What time works for everyone to call. I am sure our plans will be pretty flexible so let me know and we can work things out. Mom can you send me some short white socks when you send my medicine. I would appreciate that. Thanks for all your letters and emails of support. I Love you and ALOHA! Hope this week goes well for everyone.
                               Love, Elder Benjamin Tripp
