Life is going pretty good. I am leaving, but it wasn't much of a surprise. I'm kinda sad because I love the members here, and they were so nice to sing Aloha Oe to me after Sacrament, but I need to get out, my companion and the work has been driving me crazy here so I guess its for the better. The week was good though We ended up at the Temple on Friday which was nice. Thank you for the Money for Garments. It was much appreciated. Sounds like a good win for Utah and I have heard Georgetown is hot so if I was doing a bracket I would pick them. Anyway it seems like not much has happened since I last talked to you I guess because its only been like 5 days. Anyway here we go.
So Wednesday we just did our thing I guess. I seem to remember driving out to the west side for some lame reason anyway not much more happened I don't think.
Thursday was my companions Birthday. So his RC the same one that went through the temple came and took us out to lunch, so that was nice, I guess. That afternoon we had to do an Emergency exchange so I took Elder Kim with me and we did some work and had a pretty good time. Great time for transfer to happen. We finished the night off with some basketball at the Church which was fun.
Friday We had Dltm for the morning, and then in the afternoon we had car inspection which went fine and we headed up to the temple. Things were pretty easy going. The assistants were all there to talk to and sit by in the session. Elder Brinkerhoff and Hudson are going to Hilo and Kauai so I probably won't see much more of them until June except for ZLCs so it was good to talk story one last time. I also got a killer deal on a Samoan Triple combination that I could put Pule Taetuga's name on and a BYU H shirt at the Byu Bookstore so I got them. The shirt is Maroon and says seasiders so there is no way it could be confused with a TDS shirt. ;) Oh one thing I find interesting at the temple is that I also order my typical Fat man pants 44x34 and I never have gotten anything tighter than a 46 this last time I was sporting a 48x36 which I got a good kick out of. I have temple pants that fit its just easier to just rent, but I guess that is what I get. The Church is still true.
Saturday we had a big ward function which was lots of fun, Mostly just whatever people wanted to do, it was done. There was Karaoke in one room, a spa in another, Basketball in the Gym and a few other activities. I think we probably found some solid leads from it so that was positive.
Yesterday Church was great. It was a nice gesture from the ward. We taught the youth Sunday school class about applying the Atonement in all parts of our life. I thought it went good. After Church drove a lot. We found out we were getting a brand new 2013 corolla, but Waianae's car was the one being traded out. So we drove out to their church building to trade our old car for theirs. Then we headed to meet the AP's in Pearl City got the car and then had to head back West to drop off Training packets for most of the zone. We got back around 5 just in time for our meeting with the stake. What a night.
So that's whats new I guess. So would you like to know where my new area is? Well Lets play a game see how many clue it takes for you to get it. I have served in this part of the vineyard though not much, I will not be getting on a plane, My area has a mall, Everyone in our family has been there in the past 6 months. It starts with a K and ends with aneohe. So I guess that's where I need to be. I'm pretty excited I hear the wards are good over there so I guess its the start of a new adventure. I love you all
Love, Elder Ben Tripp
