Well Here We Are

Aloha family,

Wow how did we ever get to this point. Seems pretty crazy. At this point we just have a couple more lessons tomorrow and then time to pack her up and be a tourist kinda for the next 2 days. Thanks for adding a little money mom. I am going to send home one more package of all my heavy books and what nots and then it will be nice to maybe grab a few quick things at the swap meet or PCC so thanks. I assume Hutch made it home alright. Anyway lets see what I can remember from last time we talked. It seems like this week has been such a blurr I can't recall much but Im sure somethings happened. Glad Bro Bartley is now that Bishop I think that will be awesome. Bishop May sure was good to for the years he was bishop. Man kinda sad to think I'll be leaving Hawaii in the next couple of days.I Truely love this place and all the wonderful people here. Even if they don't care a lick for the church they are so warm and friendly and genuinly like to talk story and share what they know of the church or Utah or whatever is on their minds.

Anyway Wednesday we had a good District meeting and we ended up doing a little more service for Bro Kanahele. The house they are preparing to rent is looking good. We helped nail down carpet tacks to get the carpet ready to roll out. Seems like it rained all day Wednesday. That night we headed down into Honolulu for  the cottage meeting for investigators to listen to recent converts speak. It went well our investigator Nisi enjoyed it so that was a success.

Thursday. Hmm I know we went to town and messed around there finishing up things, and then we had an exchange so I headed down to Kailua for the day and worked with them. Nothing to out of the ordinary.

Friday was wild. seems like everything happened all in a day. President Dalton just randomly showed up to our DLTM meeting and then we had the "big talk" that every missionary has with his President at the end about Marriage, temple, dating, staying faithful etc.. It was a good time we talked for a good hour which was nice. After we had a few lessons did an hour of service, and then finished the night with the Pasikala family, who we live with, at Ruby Tuesdays. They for sure made us eat a ton. Typical Tongan style. They treated us so well and have been great people to lend out part of their house. Anyway as soon as we got home I sat down and instantly  crashed. During the 20 min I was asleep, the elders rearranged the living room and then set all the clocks forward 4 hours so all the clocks said it was 1:30 and then pretended to be asleep. It was super trippy until I looked at our phone and it just said 9:30. Gotta say it was a super good joke on their part.

Saturday we had pad checks to We cleaned up for that, and then headed to Kailua to help the sisters get to their new pad and get all moved in. That night I think members took us out to zippy's crazy on the mission I only went twice, it seems to be a common place to take Elders, but I only ended up there twice. It always reminds me of when we went as a family because everyone referenced it at church ha ha.

Sunday was ALOHA OE sunday. Both wards sang to me and covered me with Leis. Super nice gesture. It was wild. We ended up teaching gospel principles which went nicely and then we had a couple lessons including one last one with the Siliga Family. I am sure going to miss them. Kinda sad to miss their baptism but it just matters that it happens, not necessarily who was there. Called it a night after that.

So the next couple days will be as follows. Tuesday I was planning on seeing Geo and Kimi and the kids after dinner sometime. Call me if that doesn't work and then Wednesday is transfer meeting, then swap meet, and then pcc and temple and night show. Thursday we head out to Pearl harbor and then have testimony meeting take pictures eat dinner, and head for the airport. Everyone is welcome to come to the airport Thursday night to send off the missionaries from like 6:30 to 8 or something I'll have more details tomorrow if Geo and Kimi want to come. Anyway Thursday we fly out late and then I'll see y'all Friday morning and we will go from there.

I LOVE YOU ALL! Thanks for everything. It sure has been an exciting run of 2 years and I am super grateful for all who made it possible to happen.I know the Church is true! I know our family is forever as long as we all stay true to the Gospel! I love you and ALOHA!! see you Friday :)

Love, Elder Tripp
