Watch the time go right out da window!!

Aloha family,

As Chris Burman would say on ESPN. tick, tick tick tick! Time just keeps flying. Can't remember if I mentioned last week that besides ZLC yesterday we also had temple trip today so that was fun as well. We just got back. I was sitting in the Celestial room with Elder Packer, who comes home with me, and we talked about how we get to go to the temple next week as well for one last time with the tag on. Kinda crazy to think about. I was noticing on LDS.org that we had a Polynesian elder in our ward, but a middle name of, Kamakanaalohamaikalani, seals the deal that he is for sure Hawaiian. I have to hit him up when I get back. Anyway things have gone smooth for the most part. This past weeks seemed to just slip away with some service and other things, but lets see what I can remember.

So Monday was typical P day can't remember anything special.

Tuesday we Hauled all the furniture that could be saved and wasn't smoke or water damaged from the Waimanalo elders pad back to the mission office until a new pad is found for them. Took a few hours and we had to make a couple of trips with the assistants truck, but it was a good time to talk with the AP's I enjoy them. One of them right now is Elder Mortenson who was at the same temple session as me when I took out my endowments. We always joke about how we can't forget the 1st time we met.

Wednesday we had a service assignment to go help with the Stake center. Supposedly people are going to be inside before the end of June. Although they have pushed it back so many times I think most of the members have stopped caring about the latest updates of how soon it will be done, and just want it to be over with. Anyway we worked on putting boxes from the cultural hall to the offices and rooms they really belong in. After our member took us to Mcdonalds and then we got freshened up for a lesson with Nisi before heading to dinner and tyring to make a visit or 2 before the night was done.

Thursday the Waimanalo elders had accidentally double booked service in the morning so we went on a service split. I went with Elder Devore from Erda to go clean out some horse pens and cut some grass for the goats to eat down at one of the members ranch. I thought it was lots of fun. Kinda reminded me of Home, although I never really did that back home. ha ah After that we had to turn in Companion reports for the transfer and then we had a Singles activity that night. The activity was to make a under 5 min movie using a disney movie as a base and the theme of the movie had to be "Be of good cheer" we noticed at the start that we only had 1 girl in our group so we selected Snow White and the 7 dwarfs. Our movies a basically the wicked witch was really sad and then out of nowhere comes Snow white and the dwarfs doing the YMCA! Witch becomes happy, movie over. It was lots of fun this week we are going to watch them all and then vote on the winner, I am confident about ours. ;)

Friday seems to have flown by. I think I remember having a Zone flood in Olomana in the afternoon and then We headed to town to get some stop smoking pamphlets deals for the Kailua elders. That night we headed to the Tripp's for Cake and Ice Cream to celebrate the kids birthdays. I got a kick out of Elise when she told me " You know you are supposed to bring presents right?" I tried to explain my present was with  Grandma liz's and I think that sufficed ha ha. Also somehow the topic turned to who was in whose family, like who was a Tripp, and Austin asked Elder Fuhriman "are you somebody's son?" interesting question ha ha.

Saturday we did yet more service for a potential investigator the people we live with know so that went well, and then there were a few baptisms throughout the stake that we attended before a member took us out to the new "Teddy's Bigger Burgers" in Kaneohe which was super good!! that night we headed to the Kanahele's for a small party and then called it a night.

Sunday was just typical Nisi told us he wasn't going to be ready for baptism this Saturday, so it looks like it will take a miracle for me to have one more so we will see. The family of 4 is still going strong and should be confirmed in church the day I speak which would be really cool I guess.

Yesterday ZLC was nice. Nothing to interesting and I found myself small kine struggling to stay focused since almost all of it was about Making June the best we can and sending out President with a bang. He rolls out June 30th. It was fun to see Brinkerhoff and Hudson again though. anyway not much more to report. Early in the mission I assumed this week would be my last email, but I have decided I will finish strong with one more next week, although it may not say much more than see you Friday! We will worry about that when it comes though. Until then I love you all Thanks for me so faithful. Tell Hutch Aloha if you see him! Love you all, and ALOHA

Love, Elder Tripp
