Monday was great at sister Fujikawa's house. It is probably best not to send a message for me back. I know you want to, but it is kind of cheating, but I'm glad you enjoy the pictures. Sister Fujikawa did mention about the Turkey in the Imu, so that must have been a good time. More on Imu's later. We ended up having a Hawiian thanksgiving of Lau Lau and such so that was good. I love Lau Lau.
Tuesday we got back to Ka'u later than usual as we had to do some things for with the zone after district meeting, including taking a zone picture for the mission Christmas Card. We just made a few visits and then ended up at dinner with Toafa and company which was nice.
Wednesday we got out and did lots of teaching in the morning, than we dug an Imu with Bishop, and then filled it with the wood and rocks so it would be ready to go Thursday morning, Naboa's fed us traditional thanksgiving dinner for us Wednesday night. It was great as usual. I loved it. I love the Naboa's house, and they always feed us well.
Thursday we got up bright and early at 3:30 to get the Imu going for Bishop. I have so much respect for those things. They are so crazy. We spent like 2 hrs breaking up banana stump and ti leaves to cover once it was ready. It was so crazy how fast you have to set it up after you put the 1st banana stumps on you have hurry and throw the food, banana leaves, ti leaves, burlap, and then cover it with dirt. It is non stop. We had a Turkey bowl at 9 which was lots of fun. I came in at half time to play some QB and rally the team, but we came up just a little short. It was lots of fun for sure. After we ate 3 dinners, and camp out at Toafa's for the rest of the night. We played a game of Ticket to Ride.I got it done with a winning 139 :) always better to win right?
Friday we did lots of tracting. Our lesson fell through as lots of people were still shopping or sleeping from a long night of shopping. Black Friday sure is crazy down here. Especially since it is still 70 degrees at mid night and stuff. disappointing to hear about Utah members sure made sure that I knew about it. :(
Saturday we had a good day. We had a baptism. I realized I forgot to mention it last week. It kinda just came out of the blue, but it was sure a blessing. :) it was a good experience, sadly it didn't happen before Friday or things might have been different ;) The spirit was so strong. The mother is a non-member and I really think she felt the spirit while the restoration movies was playing so hopefully things will go good. :)
Sunday we had a good day it was the primary program, kinda late but it was lots of fun. Gospel Essentials went well. The members are really starting to get excited about inviting their friends to come so that is a plus. We had 4 investigators at sac which was cool and Bishop's nonmember dad came as well to support the kids which was fun.
I feel like this email is kinda short, so sorry about that, but thanks for all the good emails. I love them. Pule gave me a Lava Lava this week so that was nice of him. I'll have to send some pictures in these coming weeks. Thanks for the DVDs they will greatly help. I love Elder Brinkerhoff. Man I miss him! That's way cool he sent a letter to the Fishers. Ill have to email him and tell him They talked to you. As soon as he found out I was from Grantsville he asked if I knew Kelby. Thanks again for everything Family I love you. Hope all is well in El Paso, Natalie! Hope Utah goes to a bowl there so you guys can have a good time. The Church is true I Love you and Aloha!
