Real men eat grape nuts! Geaux Tigers!

Aloha!!!
Hey family hows it? Sounds like jsut a normal little week over there in Utah! Things were pretty routine here as well. Happy Birthday Mom! Sorry  i meant to send an email on Tuesday, but I forgot so I hope the email from sister Apuna was alright. Hope it was a good one. It sure would be nice if there was a paradise bakery here in Hawaii ha ha. I miss that place. Good to hear the you had some time to watch some bowl games. It sounds like there were some exciting ones like always. Of course I will be wearing my LSU shirt all day today, maybe it will help them pull it off. LSU has won the last 2 national championships in the Sugar Bowl so hopefully they can make it 3 I bet there will be some trick plays. They don't call Les Miles "The Mad Hatter" for nothing! Geaux Tigers!

Anyway things were pretty normal here this week. I don't exactly remember the day to day of this week so I will just touch on what I thought the high lights were. Wednesday we did service with bro Apuna for sister Apuna's parents. We "trimmed" some trees almost to the stump ha ha it was a good time, and then the Apuna's were on the calendar to feed us so we headed over there and had a good dinner and then played who wants to be a Celestial Heir. it was a pretty good time!

Thursday President and Sister Dalton, as well as the assistants came over to visit for interviews. They flew in on the 1st flight which arrived at 6:45 meaning we had to get up extra early to be there to pick them up! They were in good spirits. We headed to the church for interviews. President talked about working better at finding more people to teach. Mission wide we are doing great at teaching, but finding is low. In the last quarter of the year we were baptizing one of ever 4.6 investigators, so finding is an emphasis! Sister Dalton talked with us about eating healthy! She gave lots of health tips and I have decided to try it out a little bit.

Elder Pincock received the "Insanity" work out DVDs on Wednesday which is similar to P90x. That plus eating more healthy is my plan to get back in shape. I have also decided to eat grape nuts with skim milk for breakfast every morning and cut back on lots of the sugar and fatty foods, but diet and Molokai dinners don't really work to well together haha. So we will see what happens haha. It feels great to get back exercising everyday! Anyway after that we headed off to Molokai Burger for Breakfast. Sister Dalton told us she wouldn't watch what we ordered. I just got a sausage mcmuffin and a Pog and called it good. We then headed off to meet both bishops and then took the assistants to Kalaupapa lookout. It looks like President is planing on coming back in February or March for a fireside and the plan is for them to stay over and hike down to Kalaupapa on Monday which would be lots of fun, even if we don't get to ride the mules. Anyway President and Sister Dalton always just show us so much love when they come out. They are so awesome and i am so glad they are leading our mission!

Friday and Saturday were just lots of visiting less actives. I ate pretty well at dinner. Just had one serving of everything and a little ice cream and cake for dessert which was good.

Yesterday was awesome! We had lots of investigators out for sacrament and picked up another with a baptismal date, giving us 3 for right now which is exciting. In the morning it was so clear we could see Maui, Lanai, Kaho'olawe and barely see a little bit of the big island from our pad. It was pretty cool. If only we would have headed over to the west side to see O'ahu that would have made it a complete island day, but missionary work is more important haha so we chose that instead. Church was good we had good lessons on Faith and Prayer. It was fast Sunday here so testimonies were really strong. One of my favorite things about the people here is how passionate they are. Especially about the gospel. they have such great enthusiasm to share it.

That is what is new here thanks again for all your emails. They are such a treat every week. Let me know if there is anything I can do for anyone. Hope all keeps going well. Love you and Aloha!!

                      Love, Elder Tripp!
