Things are pretty "Insane" here

Aloha!
Things have been going pretty good this week. Insanity is getting me into pretty good shape and I have dropped 4 lbs so that is nice I guess. The grape nuts are good lol. Crazy this is the 3rd week in 4 that have had a monday holiday it is Tuesday once again. Things just get better and better every week here. Monday was a bummer though. As we were driving to dinner Monday night we drove past the bar and I just caught a glimpse of Alabama celebrating. So that was kind of a bummer, I guess life goes on though right? Anyway the work keeps going forward here.

Monday was just a regular old P day. I don't think we did anything too special just kind of hung around and played some risk and monopoly.

Tuesday we had regular district meeting and had a good time with working on getting more referrals from dinner it was good stuff and has helped us find new people to teach. Tuesday we also went out and and visited some new less active people and had a good time with them. They were willing to have a lesson and we talked story for a bit so that was successful. This week we had some great dinners. Tuesday we had some steak and shrimp which was awesome ha ha the members feed us so well.

Wednesday the main thing was we went and trimmed more trees for Sis Apuna's parents and then ate dinner with them after. They served a mission on north big island a few years ago and ended up meeting sis Fujikawa's dad at the temple once. Small world ha ha. They are an awesome couple and they are lots of help with the work in the ward.

Thursday we did more tree trimming ha ha I fee like I am getting the hang of doing that. There is just so much the needs to be done. Anyway it was for brother Lenwai he is less active but has a strong testimony so that is great. Thursday we picked up another baptism date for the end of February so that always makes the night so much better!

I dont remember too much from Friday or Saturday except we spent a lot Saturday redoing a bathroom floor which took a good chunk of time ha ha. Saturday night Bishop Akaka's son had a welcome home potluck. He just got home from Denver as a missionary. It was cool to hear his stories and all the good food. Ward functions like this go all out on food ha ha so that is lots of fun. Not great for the diet, but that's ok ha ha.

Sunday we had a missionary fire side that Elder Akaka had done in Denver with the youth. It got them really excited to share there so we tried it here. It was lots of fun the 4 elders were asked to share some experiences so that was fun too. I think it went well and hopefully the youth can get more excited about sharing with their friends.

Sorry this email was pretty quick. Hopefully next monday things can get back to normal. Transfer Sunday is coming up. I feel like all 4 of us will stay here, but who knows ha ha I guess we will see what surprises are in store. Hope it was fun to have the family on the main land all in Utah this past week. If you could get Colson's MTC address that would be nice I need to write him! Thanks again! Love you all! Choke Mahalos and Aloha!
                                                      Love, Elder Tripp
