Another week gone by

Aloha Family,

Well another week is past things went good. It is kinda cool to know so many people are around in Kaneohe. We headed up to visit a few people in Waimanalo but it was short and sweet. That's cool Jake, that you met that guy. He goes to the Waipahu Samoan ward, but I have ran into him a few times in our area. He sure does love his Utes. Anyway nothing super noteworthy but Ill see what I can recall.

Tuesday was the day we went up Waimanalo side and then we spent Tuesday night going to Pizza Hut Buffet one last time with Elder Lepule and his companion and then saying goodbye to everyone in the zone that was leaving. We did teach a few recent converts we are still working with Tuesday as well which turned out good as they came to church!

Wednesday we still got to attend the transfer meeting because of sisters coming into our zone we lost a car for the Elders and they needed us to shuttle people around. It was lots of fun to talk to Elders Toki, and Woodfield one last time before they left, as well as Hudson and Copier who were there as well. It seems like everyone wanted a chance to rub my "big belly" as it has grown a little in the past 3 months. After transfers we had a meeting with our WML and then headed out to visit a few families. It seems to be we had a snow day meaning no one was home, kinda lame, but it happens.

Thursday we had weekly planning in the morning and then went to lunch with the Lanakila elders. Elder Shepherd just came from Kea'au ward. He said Sister Fujikawa and the others are doing well. It was good to hear Ka'u was doing well as well. I don't know if I mentioned but Pule is now a High Priest :) Good for him! We stumbled around KPT and Kam 4 housing looking for some new people to teach. We found a Samoan couple and we talked a minute and then we got to talking about Baptism and he mentioned he had been taught no need for baptism, so we set up a time to teach them about baptism and why we need it. Hope it works out. We also met a couple guys who look, and act, like the 2 clowns on Hocus Pocus. They told us they both went to Snow and saw the Manti pageant, and had some crazy idea about Joseph Smith carrying around gold plates weighing 3 tons.... Not sure where they got that but we quickly bore testimony and walked away. Gotta love random concerns we come across as missionaries.

Friday we headed down more in the downtown area of Honolulu hitting a few people on Kapiolani and Date streets, and then briefly stopped in at the Tabernacle to grab some copies of O Le Tusi A Mamona. We also spent time tracking down less actives we had never visited before in the Palolo valley. went fairly well found a few people to add to our teaching pool.

Saturday we did some service tracting. We found a few people in the ward that we knew could use some help we figured part of the reason they might not let us help was because we are always in our whites, so that day we just randomly showed up in service clothes and we it gave us some success. The big thing I remember is we headed up to a returned missionary parties the food came out on these huge platters like one you would have for meats and cheeses at our style one, except one platter per person stuffed choke full of food. Yep the belly grew a little that night.

Yesterday Church was well done and after we got to go give a blessing to a man from Waipahu. He told us his life story and how he just wanted to be a missionary and how he had been less active and the Church he thought had forgotten about him. He called his friend and asked if we could come which of course we did. He shared that he had thought that if we didn't come he might decide to be Catholic, but he knew that Heavenly Father wouldn't leave him alone. After a few minutes some other members of the ward came and we had a good little testimony meeting. I enjoyed it very much and was glad we had the opportunity to share with him. We gave him our number so hopefully he will call when he gets out of the hospital and we can talk some more.

Can't think of too much more. Hope everything goes smooth for you all. I did get the shorts mom. Thank you so much I enjoy them! You did great. Maybe if you haven't bought baptismal clothes mom could you get size 44 for those. They tend to run smaller than other pants. Thanks for all you support Love you all! ALOHA And GO UTES!!

Love Elder Tripp
