Kinda a slow week but still lots of good

Talofa!!

Things are doing good over here in moanalualua ward. Lua means 2 so that has a kinda nice ring to it I think. Anyway the big thing that I am excited about is a lady named Pauline. She was the referral from the ward that we taught the restoration to and it helped her understand more about the Church, anyway this week we taught her more and she had read the whole introduction, testimonies and title page. She also had lots of great questions and then wanted to know more about the Plan of Salvation, which is exactly what we had planned to teach her. It was such a solid lesson. Also we found a new lady to teach which is always nice. Good to hear Grantsville took care of business. Too bad to hear about Utah sounds like a little bit of a let down. Sounds like fun to be in DC and Natalie headed off to Florida. Jealous!

So Tuesday was the lesson with Pauline and I already mentioned that. The hard part of the day what that We had the lesson with Pauline at 3 and Dinner at 5. Well the family Pauline lives with cooked this huge meal for us. By the time we were done with that it was about 4:45 just in time to go hit another huge dinner of all sorts of very yummy friend foods. :) It was rough but we made it ha ha. Elder King looked like he was going to explode after all was said and done. I am for sure grateful for all the food we get to eat. It is a blessing to not have to wonder where the next meal will come from.

Wednesday we had another pretty full day. Most of the lessons held. I was pleasantly surprised. They weren't the most solid people to teach, but I am always excited when people let us in to share a little bit of the gospel and meet new friends. One of note was a man who has had missionaries over before and was waiting for us to come back. I can understand why they left him alone for a while but it was cool to see that he noticed the change the gospel can bring to us.

Sadly a bug has been going around the past few weeks and it caught Elder King Thursday and Friday. He showed lots of flu like symptoms and looked pretty dead most of the days. Kinda disappointing but we were able to move appointments to Saturday and the members were nice enough to come bring us some soup and other food for dinners which was really nice of them.

Saturday we had 5 lessons. IT was so cool! Saturdays have been so slow for us of late, but Last week we taught 5 lessons which was awesome. We also saw a small miracle on Saturday. We were just starting dinner and there was so much food on the table, it was one of those tables like we have at the church with the 2 set of legs that fold out. Anyway there was so much food one of the legs collapsed and half the food slid off the table, miraculously none of the food spilled. All the plates and bowl landed right side up. IT was so crazy but so cool.

Yesterday was great as usual. Church went smooth. Pauline came and enjoyed it. Hopefully she will get closer to baptism this week. Transfer calls are this coming up Sunday. Can't get a read at all on what is going to happen. Should be a change. I would prefer to stay, but If i have to leave somewhere else I am sure it will be an adventure. Mom when you get home on Wednesday could you pick a photo to send to the Hutchins for Ty's thing. I forgot my camera today. Thanks that would be great. Hope everyone's week goes smooth I love you all and Aloha!
Love, Elder Tripp
