Another time come and gone

Aloha Family,

Things are good and kinda bad too. Transfer plans came in last night pretty late, so I haven't had much sleep, but that's ok. Overall I feel like the zone should get an upgrade. this past week lots of companionships have been falling apart and not getting along very well and from what i have heard we are getting some good elders to replace them. Sadly Elder Tausinga has been called away to be with Elder Mafi in the Honolulu Tongan ward. I'm pretty jealous he gets to be with Mafi. My new companion is going to be Elder Brooksby. He came out with me so I assume that means I probably will have one more area before coming home... but like Jimmy Chitwood says at the end of Hoosiers, "I'll make it!".

lets see what else is new? Thanks mom, but I wouldn't go as far to say I'm a great writer. ha ha I figured Dalton was coming home soon glad he made it. Good to hear everyone seemed to have a good time at Spence and Anne's Max sure seems to have gotten taller since I have been gone. The package came Saturday and the pants are great thanks so much. Sister Johnson was at Church again this week and she gave a nice testimony. Oh and with the new transfer we are finally going back to just Kapolei ward which will be nice to just have one ward to focus on. Speaking of going to American Fork mom do you remember last June when you went down there and talked to a lady from Molokai, anyway she showed to Kapolei ward yesterday so that was fun to talk.

This weeks really blew by I can't remember a ton from what happened. Tuesday and Wednesday I know was just regular tracting days. It was really hot and all our lessons fell through which was a huge bummer.

Thursday I went on one last exchange with Elder Lepule he is leaving to somewhere else on the island. We had some good lessons with Some Samoan Children that are set to be baptized in the coming weeks so we will see how it goes. The food was pretty good.

Friday was our big news day. We started out with some good lessons of Jarone and another guy we had tracted into. we prayed with him and then we felt prompted to ask about why he let us in. He mentioned he was always curious about Baptism and whats its true meaning was, like why it was so important so of course we told him why! :) Plus he said come back. That night our Stake President had us over for dinner and then surprised us by taking us to outback steakhouse, and then giving us "the glare" until we finally ordered an appetizer, bigger steak, and then dessert at the end haha. He does so much for the stake and I am so glad to get to work with him. After dinner President called us with the transfer news for Elder Tausinga and I. The zone leaders get there calls early of what is going on with them. It was sad to find out he was leaving so soon.

Saturday was a big prep day. We are getting 2 new pads in the zone so our job was to head over with Elder and Sister Smiley and clean them up nice. I assumed one was for sisters since we spent A LOT longer on it making sure everything was nice and clean and sprayed it with smell goods and made sure it was perfect. Turns out my hunch was true ha ha. It took up most of the day though.

Yesterday was good. The ward the starts at 2 was very well attended despite the super bowl starting around 1:30. the testimonies were good and no terribly long stories were told. ;)

Other than that not much to say. Sorry its so short. This next week should be exciting though so i promise next week will be longer. I love you all thanks for everything.

Aloha, Elder Tripp
