Well another week has come and went. Conference was great. Kinda disappointed our baptism for yesterday was cancelled yesterday morning for super lame reasons. I understand bishops are called of God, but can't stand when they try to be mission presidents and make up rules like "No baptism on Conference weekend." Other than that things were good though. It was good to see Hutch doing his thing over in NYC that was really cool. We had some good lessons this week which always make it go quicker. I haven't seen our travel plans yet I think they send them to us eventually but I wouldn't mind if you could send me a copy by email or mail or whatever. Anyway that's good advice dad about keeping on strong until the end. My best mission friends are on other Islands anyway, however we are allowed to call our last Sunday just to say Thanks for all the good times and what nots. Anyway lets see what I can remember.
Tuesday we had some good lessons with people who we have been trying to get in contact with. and then Elder Ludovico went with a Japanese elder in our zone to go teach a single adult our branch president is fellowshipping. She hardly speaks English so most of the teaching is done by President Ahuna and Elder Yamashita since they both speak fluently. I took Elder Orton with me down to town to turn in our baptismal records for the zone to the office and to pick up some needed commissary items.
Wednesday, was smooth we headed to some less actives and taught a lesson here or there. We had a good lesson with our investigator Alberttar who is still working on getting baptized, but he has to be married which is proving to be tougher than planned.but things seem to get closer every time we stop by so that was good.
Thursday we all kinda got hit with clogged sinuses which was kinda a bummer, but we survived. So that was good. We went and visited Chris our baptism that ended up getting cancelled and then Elder Viliko had to fill out some papers for his going home in a couple of weeks. That night we had institute as well as Chris' baptism interview that all went smooth. After institute we played black light volleyball which was really fun. Good day for sure.
Friday we typical meeting in the morning and then we had to run down to Honolulu to grab the mission truck to help the Kailua Elders move into a new pad. which took the rest of the Day.
Saturday was spent with Conference. I thought there were lots of good talks. I enjoyed Elder Nelson's talk about catching the wave. 6 comes so early though. Anyway it was nice that the priesthood session was delayed over here so we could still watch it at 6 pm our time. It was good to sit next to George and watch together.
Sunday we repeated the process and then I headed with the 2nd ward Elders to go to Georges to lunch after. The rest of the Elders were headed to our members for lunch so it was nice everyone got fed. We found out around 10 our baptism was off, so at least it wasn't super last minute. That night Kailua 3rd had a baptism so that is how we finished out.
Anyway that is my week. Sounds like everyone is on the move this week. Should be fun for everyone. So I have lost a few shirts to tears or stains etc the past few weeks could you send 2-3 more short sleeved shirts to finish out strong? Hope all is well. Love you all. The Church is true. I know the blessing are real. Love you and ALOHA!! Til we talk again.
Love, Elder Tripp
