Baptisms are nice

Aloha all,

Another fun and notable week. Things still are keeping strong. We finally got one of our many investigators to the waters of baptism. I feel like we have been working super hard these last few weeks. but for whatever reason we just weren't making it over the hump. It feels good to finally have one and we still have some super solid prospects lined up. Sounds like everyone is doing fine. I heard star was picked number 14 and ziggy was 5 not bad. Sounds fun to head down to St George, sure has been hot over here that past week. Lets see what happened.

Tuesday seemed super busy we had a million people to go visit and Elder Ludovico wanted to say goodbye to choke people, plus Elder Viliko had to get all his bags in order to head back to New Zealand so needless to say it was a super crazy day.

Wednesday was transfer which is fun as always to see everyone. My good friends are for sure dwindling in the mission because everyone is home now. It went pretty smooth. Not quite how I thought things would shake up in the zone but good nevertheless. Elder Fuhriman and I had a good time showing the new sisters all over their area, as well as getting everyone situated into new pads. Lots of shifting going on this week.

Thursday we decided we needed to get the zone unified so we had a zone lunch together and got to know each other a little better. I thought it was lots of fun and has set the tone a bit. After we had to grab some things down in Honolulu and then headed back around to everyone to deliver last minute things they had forgotten to pick up at transfers planners, BOMs, etc.

Friday seems to have escaped me. I know in the evening we had a singles activity camp fire which was fun. Everyone seemed super bummed that Manti didn't go until the 2nd round, but good for him at least. I'm sure it was a hard couple of months. Rumor has it that the Hau'ula elders were invited to Eat dinner with the Teo's on Thursday. Not sure if they attended.

Saturday was Mormon Helping Hands. we cleaned up the beach by Mokapu Lighthouse. It was pretty quick and then we had a bbq at Waimanalo beach park. We had a good time. That afternoon we spent getting everything for our investigator Tony's baptism. It was so solid and pretty much the whole branch was in attendance to support. Tony has a super huge testimony and the cool thing is he has virtually no support from his family which has to be very hard, but he has so much faith to go forward anyway. I know he will be a super strong member of the branch. It was very nice. Hopefully we should have at least 2 more from the branch before June.

Sunday church was excellent and we had another good lesson with the family set to be baptized next Friday. They are still working out the marriage plans, but I am optimistic. It should be nice.

Yesterday was ZLC which was nice as always. It is always lots of fun to see all my good ZL pals. everyone seems to be doing well. Nothing major changed in the mission which was kinda lame, but the meeting was still good and I think we all thought of some good ideas to push the work forward here in Hawaii.

Today President stopped by our district meeting and then took us out to Lunch which was very nice of him. I have enjoyed President so much and am glad he will be my only Mission President.

Love you all. Can't wait to talk in a few days and I guess I'll email you again on Monday. Until then, The Church is true. :)

Love, Elder Tripp
