Last time, best time

Well hello everyone,

Things are getting pretty exciting over here. Miracles are happening every day. Currently we have 8 investigators scheduled for baptism including 2 this weekend. So that is fun and exciting. I'm fine to speak on the 23rd I was just causing trouble. Anyway Transfers are upon us. Nothing too crazy happened. Everyone who I feel like needs to go is leaving for the most part so that should be good. Sounds like we are going to get some horses coming in to work super hard. My companion's name is Elder Furiman from the bay area. I served around him when I was in the Samoan ward so it should be a fun way to finish up. Because of the the new transfer we are getting 4 more Elders in the zone than what we had this transfer so the Kaneohe 2nd who have been living in Kailua are now going to live with us for the next couple of weeks in Temple valley until they can move into a pad in their area. I guess that can be fun. Sounds like everyone had a productive week lets see what I can remember.

Tuesday was typical run to town and do errands day. We had some things we had to get to the mission office asap so we did that. It seems like every time we go down Elder Carrel and Hall from Hon-West show up which is nice. Elder Hall always says to tell George and the family hi. We eventually got back for dinner and had a good lesson with a less active family we are working with.

Wednesday
we had a packed day full of lessons.  The best one was with a guy named Nisi. He is Tongan and reminds me so much of Elder Mafi. We have been trying to set stuff up with him and he has kinda dodged us a bit, but last Sunday he told us he was ready to take it serious. We taught him about the Restoration and it was solid. He committed to baptism and is so ready. Pretty exciting.

Thursday I feel like we did some service but I can't really remember what we did. I know that night we had our monthly Stake meeting with the bishops and them the ward mission leaders. It went much better than I guess it has in the past. I guess is past meetings they had been fairly critical of missionaries, but this time was smooth. Everyone seemed interested in our thoughts and numbers and it went smooth so that was nice.

Friday we had another lesson with Nisi which went well. He just sucks it in and takes it in stride. Another Miracle that happened was that the Sisters in Laie have been teaching someone from Kaneohe that got referred to us to finish teaching. He almost joined the church at 17, but his parents refused to sign and so he lost interest, recently some changes have occurred in his life and he has sought for the gospel once more. He is so ready for baptism and it should go through this weekend. He even paid his Tithing on Sunday which I thought was pretty cool. Friday night we had to run down to town one more time and believe it or not on the hwy we passed Carrel and Hall so they called and we just happened to both be headed for the tabernacle. After Bro Kanahele in the 1st ward was having friends over to make laulaus. It was the first time I had ever prepared it we made about 100 and had a good time.

Saturday morning we got up and headed back over to eat the laulau for breakfast super yummy. We did some service again and eventually had a fun dinner with a family in the ward. They were super fun to talk to and called it a night.

Sunday= super solid. We sang Aloha Oe to Ludovico and Viliko and had typical Church and then we headed to the family that we committed last week. The parents aren't members so we taught the law of Chastity. I was a little nervous how they would take it, but once we started the Mom mentioned how she felt not ready for baptism because she knew she didn't live all the laws our church has. She had been praying to know more about what she needed to do and how to do it. It was the perfect lesson and the spirit was so strong. I am so happy for them and they are praying for a marriage date. Great way to cap the week. Also at Church the Apuna kids were at the 2nd ward with their aunt so that was fun to talk to them briefly always good to hear from them

Today we are just kickin it. We are going to play pingpong among other things and get ready for the next 6 weeks. I'm sure there are going to be some fireworks. I just can't wait. I Love this gospel and am so grateful for the peace and Joy it brings. I love you all. Have a great week and we will talk again next Monday. As for Mothers day in 3 weeks. We are probably going to be locked up with church from 10-3 our time. Would it be too late to call around 7 or 7:30 your time. Just something to think about. Love you all and ALOHA!

Love, Elder Tripp
